We are in the process of becoming a Community Interest Company (CIC). Which means rather than earning large profit, we invest money back in to the local community. Providing much needed community events, community centre upkeep, environmental projects, accessible transport services, health and wellbeing programs, food banks, and other initiatives that directly benefit the community they serve.

bed4night came about during a bike packing trip through France. Always one for travelling light - minus tent - I had booked various b’n’b’s along my route. What I hadn’t taken into account was the distance I’d travel each day, or the weather…or accessibility, or availability…or affordability…

It became clear that there was very little and what there was, turned out to be unsuitable on arrival - three flights of stairs with a backpack and bike anyone? A door that opens onto the bed, meaning I couldn’t actually get my bike in! All for a price of 160 Euros - I’m a mum, from Yorkshire…

I had my lightbulb moment! There are many people living alone - some lonely - with spare space. Whether that be a farm house with outbuildings, spare bedroom, or garden space.

Our host profiles list their facilities. Allowing you to filter by what you are looking for. I.e; shower, food, storage, place to charge your devices etc.
