    check with your current home insurance provider. There are specialist providers, but since this will be on a casual basis, your regular home insurance should* cover you for accidental damage.

  • how many nights per year can I rent out my room without having to declare it on a tax return?

    you are allowed, by law, to earn up to £1000 per year before declaring to HMRC.

  • what percentage of profits go back into my local community?

    65% of profits go directly back into your local community. This will be distributed accordingly. At first this may now amount to a vast amount, but every little helps! As we grow, the profit will follow. Therefore giving back more! There will be blog post updates regarding this.

  • what do I do if I’m worried about a guests behaviour?

    you will get a feel for the guest when you meet them. If you at all in doubt about them, feel free to turn them away. This is at your own discretion.

  • do I have to allow campers in my house?

    this depends entirely on what services you’ve said you are offering. If you have on your property listing, they may use your shower and its inside - yes. You would need to allow them in!
